Viajero sin equipaje (1937). Entre sus obras más importantes figuran
Antígona (1944),
La alondra (1953) y
Becket o el honor de Dios (
1959), en las que usó técnicas como el teatro en el teatro, escenas retrospectivas y anticipatorias y el intercambio de papeles. Fue un talentoso exponente de la
pièce bien faite y rechazó el naturalismo y el realismo en favor de un regreso al
teatro total.
